I have updated and refreshed my GCSE Art Exam/Mock Exam course structure sheets. They now reflect the 1-9 grades, include the revised wording to match the AQA Specification and go up to 24 marks instead of 20.
As before the jpegs and Powerpoint that includes the tick boxes can be downloaded below but if you want to have the editable Photoshop (or the ‘Graphics’ files – a mac based app that was used to create the original files) files then please drop me a message in the comments section.

I have just updated my GCSE Photography guides that I give to students to support their work. They now show more clearly the different levels of complexity within each task, so I expect ALL students to complete the green statements/questions, MOST students to complete the orange statements/questions and SOME students might attempt the blue statements/questions.
I hope that this will both support my lower level students and push my middling to higher students.

I know the current year 10’s are working on the 1-9 grades but I just have not have the time to get all my resources updated until now. So here is the first updated resource, my GCSE Art and Design Handbook. I usually give this to the year 9’s who have chosen Art at the end of the summer term along with their summer project work. I also email it to all parents so they know a little about the course and how to support their child (as I find a large number of parents struggle to understand how to support their child in this subject).

To help my students effectively plan their 10 hour ‘exam’ time I have drawn up a question sheet that hopefully helps them to consider what they need to do.
The images above are JPEG versions. I do have an idraw and Photoshop editable versions but WordPress will not let me upload these (if you would like these drop me a message in the comments section of this post).
WOW! What a term! In my mind I always feel like the Summer term should be the easiest, its the shortest and it should be the wind down… But it never is! What with the last rush to get work finished ready for marking, the Art Exhibition, exam marking and moderation, detailed reports to write for the year, not to mention end of term activity days out… So I have not had two minutes to spare to update my blog.
But now that I have finished for the summer I have set some time aside to upload a scheme of work that I have used for the last few years for my Year 10 classes in the Summer term. It is based on a visit to Brighton but you could adapt it for a visit to any local place of interest.

Once again I have put together a handout to aid my students when they are selecting their theme from this years AQA Art and Design paper. I hope it saves others some time and is of some use!
