I know the current year 10’s are working on the 1-9 grades but I just have not have the time to get all my resources updated until now. So here is the first updated resource, my GCSE Art and Design Handbook. I usually give this to the year 9’s who have chosen Art at the end of the summer term along with their summer project work. I also email it to all parents so they know a little about the course and how to support their child (as I find a large number of parents struggle to understand how to support their child in this subject).

To help my students effectively plan their 10 hour ‘exam’ time I have drawn up a question sheet that hopefully helps them to consider what they need to do.
The images above are JPEG versions. I do have an idraw and Photoshop editable versions but WordPress will not let me upload these (if you would like these drop me a message in the comments section of this post).
WOW! What a term! In my mind I always feel like the Summer term should be the easiest, its the shortest and it should be the wind down… But it never is! What with the last rush to get work finished ready for marking, the Art Exhibition, exam marking and moderation, detailed reports to write for the year, not to mention end of term activity days out… So I have not had two minutes to spare to update my blog.
But now that I have finished for the summer I have set some time aside to upload a scheme of work that I have used for the last few years for my Year 10 classes in the Summer term. It is based on a visit to Brighton but you could adapt it for a visit to any local place of interest.

Once again I have put together a handout to aid my students when they are selecting their theme from this years AQA Art and Design paper. I hope it saves others some time and is of some use!
Here is the link for the PowerPoint presentation (it was originally made in Keynote so apologies for any movement of objects in the export): Exam Themes 2016 PP
To help my GCSE students with their mock exam last term I put together a series of handouts/tick sheets that help them to assess where they were and how to get the varying marks for each stage of their preparation.
I have adapted these for the upcoming real exam and have uploaded each sheet at the bottom of this post.
Also I have completed my handout for each of the exam themes for the 2016 AQA Art and Design GCSE paper and will be sharing this on this blog after the 1st January 2016 so watch this space!

I do also have editable Photoshop files but I can not upload these on WordPress so if you would like these please add a request in the comments section and I will email them over to you.
As you can see from my last post I am in full resource making mode now the summer holidays are nearly over I am trying to get my Department Photography Website finished. I am very nearly there and just need to complete a couple of pages.
I will be adding my class presentations, student work and their websites as the year progresses so keep checking back for updates!
